Tempero do Brasil recreates the romance and excitement of Bahia, Brazil. Salvador, Bahia is one of the oldest cities in the Americas and is the land of white beaches, palm trees, tropical warmth, carnival and fun-loving people! It's also home to Brazil's most interesting and varied cuisine.
Bahian cuisine starts with appetizers that can be a meal in themselves: Baked crab meat, 'Coxinha' (chicken croquettes), and 'Bolinho de Bacalhau' (codfish rolls) are examples.
Entrees are often based on fish and shellfish, and prepared in sauces such as dende oil, coconut milk, manioc, vegetables and spices. Chicken and beef are also specialities, prepared with several kinds of exotic sauces. Regional dishes such as Vatapá, accompany the entrees.
Desserts feature tropical fruits, guava, passion fruit, coconut and more!
